I’m disappointed in this mica. The color is not what I expected at all. It’s almost identical to Spicy tomato, in fact. It’s a brick red that sparkles a little. I was expecting a deep, purplish dark pink but that’s not it at all. I tested it twice too, at 1 tsp PPO and 2 tsp PPO, and the color is still brick red.
If you’re looking for brick red though, it’s nice. 😉

I love this colour and use it all the time. It’s not as dark as the photo of the finished soap makes it appear. It’s more of a dark red / burgundy colour. ‘Garnet’ is probably the best name I could use to describe it.
I find Madd Micas to be very highly pigmented – so you don’t need to use much to get a bold colour.
