OK. This FO has me scratching my head.
Out of the bottle I hated it. To me it smelled like someone had set the Snuggle Bear on fire and bottled it. I just wasn’t getting the hype about it at all.
But I had bottle of it so I figured I may as well use try it and see what happens. Glad that I did! In the CP soap as it’s curing the scent is changing and doesn’t smell like burnt bear anymore. It has that smell of vanilla coffee with fresh laundry that is more that I was expecting. Much more mellow than what it smells like in the bottle but it still has a strong smell in the soap. I can definitely see it selling well and people liking the scent now (which I could not see happening OOTB).
I was concerned about how brown it was going to go (11.2% vanillin) so I chose to not add any colour since I figured it would just go dark brown anyways-just added some sparkle into it so it wouldn’t be a flat brown with no shimmer. Well the darn soap is not going brown 2 weeks after being cut! It’s just a dark cream colour and has not changed since 2 days after I cut it! So colour it as it’s not going brown-but be aware that it will have a yellow undertone to the soap.
No issues with the soap accelerating (I was soaping at room temp) or doing soap gremlin things.

Used in CP soap. Smells like a dark roast coffee and dryer sheets. You can identify both at the same time. I used coffee in place of water, I had planned on discolouration, so can’t say what would have happened without the coffee. After curing, scent remained true, but not too strong.
